Erosion at Jubilee Lake Nature Reserve
The Town Council has recently received a report from its environmental consultants into the causes of erosion to the banks at Jubilee Lake. The Council has been monitoring this erosion but is concerned that if left unchecked some sections of footpath will be lost and the inlet channel that feeds the Lake from the Sorrel Close side will become so deep as to become a danger to the public. On Saturday 14th January John MacIndoe, Grounds Team Leader, conducted a tour of the site so that Councillors could check on the extent of this erosion and envisage the works being proposed to rectify the problems. M4 Junction 16 – Emergency Closure 05.01.17
Where possible, motorists are being advised to AVOID junction 16 of the M4, due to an issue with a gas main. The junction is currently closed and engineers are on their way.M4 Junction 16

Jubilee Lake Toilets – Update

Update: 5th January 2017  – The Contractors have advised us that this work will be delayed as it will be too cold to use the floor paint.    Notices will be placed on the Toilets when work commences.
