Calling on all traders and local businesses
Have you considered trading on the market or promoting your local business or are you an entrepreneur, who wishes to start a business? To ensure a vibrant and bustling market with a great retail offering for locals and visitors to Royal Wootton Bassett, we are continually looking for new traders.
We are currently waiving the fee for a pitch for one year.
We would like to see stalls selling bread and bakery items, cosmetics, bed linen; jewellery, footwear and clothing come and join us each week. If interested please call Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council on 01793 850222 for more information.
Our Weekly Market is held on Wednesdays throughout the year, around the Town Hall in the High Street between 8.30am to 4.00pm.
You might meet our Town Crier and Swordbearer, Owen Collier, who cries for the market every Wednesday morning.
With a number of wonderful uniforms, we are very proud of our town crier.
Welcome New Traders
Josie Lewis sells handmade goods; bags, cards and cushion covers and more. They are made from natural cotton or canvas.
Trades from 8.30am to 1.30pm.
Malcolm is a larger than life traditional trader and has been trading for 36 years. He sells trainers, mens shoes, (walking) boots, slippers and more.
Trades from 7.30am to 1.30pm.
Didi now traders on the Wednesday Market, having been a High Street business for the last 8 years. She sells a huge range of Pick and Mix and traditional jars of sweets that are sold by the gram.
Trades from 8.30am to 4pm.
Wootton Bassett Town Hall & Trust, operator of the weekly market, is a member of NABMA, National Association of British Market Authorities.
There is free parking for 2 hours on the High Street from Coxstalls roundabout to the the Town Hall. The main car park for the town can be found in Borough Fields and costs 40p for the first hour. Varying charges apply for longer stays.
Charity Stalls by the Town Hall – Please note Wednesday charity stalls pitches are now available. Saturdays & Wednesdays are free of charge.

The Wiltshire Farmers Market is held from 9am to 1pm on the fourth Saturday of each month in our market area by the Town Hall, High Street, with local food from the local producers, truly traceable food you can trust.
Most producers grow and rear their products within Wiltshire’s borders; a few come from surrounding counties. People making products also support local farmers and growers by using own or locally grown/ reared ingredients where possible.
